Blogger/Journalist & Runner
Hello! Welcome to my blog. Fitcake was born as a place to share my passions in life, get fit whilst eating cake and doing all I can to explore the world and spread awareness of the things, places and charities important to me.
I’m Emma, I like to sew sometimes as well as being a UK health and fitness blogger/journalist, mother, wife, runner and outdoor adventurer.
Fitcake has been lovingly built to fit in with my lifestyle and hopefully inspire yours.
I’d like to think that after 4 years of blogging this new little place on the internet will reflect me more accurately then my previous blogs and I’ve grown and feel like I know what I’d like to focus on moving forwards. Back to blogging about what I love and ideally creating a fun journey to follow.
…I was never really into fitness…
It wasn’t until my husband had a heart attack at 38 years old that I really kick started the health side of things. Trauma like that really does put things into perspective, don’t you think? It was following this event that I signed up to walk 25k for the British Heart Foundation and ran my first ever 10K race for Cancer Research and have since gone on to run plenty of races.
P.S My husband is recovering well, don’t forget the cake! Pop over to my Facebook page to see what items I have for sale right now too!
