About Emma Allen
I’m Emma, a health, fitness and lifestyle blogger with a love for undone street style and absolutely no fashion sense.
Settling in Cheshire after a childhood being raised in Essex I’ve found the happy life living on the outskirts of the vibrant city of Chester with the benefit of surrounding countryside. Mother of two, wife and a seriously driven individual who hopes to help inspire others to discover who they really are.
100% computer game nerd who eats far more chocolate then I should, enjoys running with the dogs through the muddiest possible places and loves going to bed at 9pm.
I was never into fitness, until my husband suffered two heart attacks in 2016 which turned our world inside out forever. Since those days I’ve walked 25KM for The British Heart Foundation, ran 10KM for Cancer Research UK and continue to stay fit, active and encourage my kids and others to do the same.
Spending a huge chunk of my twenties working in sales, “retiring” to care for my poorly husband and taking on the freelance lifestyle, I like to think I’m a creative person and love nothing more than the opportunity to work on campaigns, designs and anything else that I can sink my teeth into.
Starting off as a health and fitness blog, Fitcake has fast become a place for people to get inspired to live healthier lives as a whole. It’s not just about the fitness and exercise is it? How can we all live active, healthy lifestyles if our health, fitness and well being isn’t in tune? Let’s live our best lives.
If I can do it, anyone can.
