A bonus post this week as I want to talk to you about National Fitness Day. Having got involved last year in the what fitness means to me campaign. I wanted to share the day with my readers and audience and show my support if you want to get involved too.
National Fitness Day encourages the nation to celebrate the fun of fitness and physical activity across the UK and will take place on 2018 Wednesday 26th September.
As you’ll know I created this blog with the idea that I’d like to encourage and inspire others to lead healthier lifestyles. Mostly because we had a massive health scare. So along with the mission of National Fitness Day the idea seems to align pretty well.
Each year they encourage thousands of clubs, leisure centres and gyms across UK Actives membership to open their doors and allow the public in to get active on the official National Fitness Day.
There is also a push for educational establishments such as schools, workplaces and other parts of the community to get involved by holding their own events in aid of the day.
The benefits of regular exercise are well known. A healthier heart, increased well being, stimulation, aiding mental health and more. I’m all too aware that it can be so difficult to fit in regular exercise. With work commitments, family and travelling about so this is a great way to get involved and get moving, even if it is just for a few hours.
With the above being said, National Fitness Day really need your help. Whether you are a blogger like myself, a gym trainer or even a school they need you and I to share, support and encourage others to get moving.
You can learn more and find out how to get involved on the National Fitness Day website.
Let me know how you’re going to get active!
