Now I’m ashamed to admit it but… I don’t like the pumpkin spiced lattes from Starbucks. It’s not even remotely sweet and I’m a mild coffee drinker so just can’t stand the bitterness.
I do however, really enjoy sweeter coffees, think more along the lines of the mocha and the cappuccino. I got speaking to Beanies Coffee and decided to put their flavours to the test.
They very kindly sent me their caramel popcorn flavour and they also sent me their own pumpkin spice flavoured coffee to put to the test.
Of course, I wasn’t looking forward to that one as much as I knew I wasn’t a fan of the PSL every blogger raves about at this time of year. So I decided to put my own recipe together to turn it into a fun, sweeter, mocha style coffee.
Turns out this was a great idea as I really enjoyed it, again and again… and again.
This had quickly turned into my favourite drink and I tend to have a stronger hot drink in the morning due to the early commute I have.
Make your own pumpkin spiced coffee.
To make my version of the drink you’ll need the following:
- Pumpkin Spiced Coffee
- Squirty cream
- Warm Milk
- Sugar/Sweetener (whichever you prefer)
It’s so simple to put together and tastes really good. Just warm up your milk, pop in your coffee amount, whatever suits you, add sweeteners if you want. Top with cream and sprinkle some cinnamon on top for all the festive feels.
This my friends, is the answer to my PSL coffee nightmares.
