I’ve had a particularly bad spot recently with my skin dryness so had to change up my routine a little. I scoured the shelves at Boots and came across the Sanex skincare range. The Dermo Hypoallergenic shower gel is perfect for avoiding skin irritation and works well with sore, broken skin that needs gentle bathing without harsh chemicals. Sanex have also brought out a new range specifically for severely dry skin that is prone to skin problems. I’ve been using the new Advanced AtopiCare body lotion along with the shower gel to combat the dryness and keep my skin feeling clean and refreshed and together they work a treat.
Looking after your skin is essential for sunless tanning as you run the risk of patches, more dryness and that longer lasting tan may escape you. It’s taken me a little longer then usual to get myself ready but the products above have helped massively. I’ve also used the Gladskin eczema cream and made sure to always use appropriate SPF.
The benefits of sunless tanning are huge, here are a few simple reasons.
- prevents premature aging
- avoid sunburn associated with sun bathing
- lowers risk of cancer (from using sunbeds)

I’ve always loved the Vita Liberata products and the new 10 minute tan is fab. I just pop on in the morning whilst eating breakfast and then shower it off 10-15 minutes later in the shower ready to start the day and the tan develops over the course of the day. The body blur is great for the face as with most tans, my face just doesn’t agree with tanning products designed for the body. I always end up looking strange so the HD body blur combats this and saves me from leaving the house looking very odd indeed.
