Post written in collaboration with UpFull.
Did you know that apparently one in five of us in the UK eat granola on a regular basis. Personally I love a handful of granola with yogurt and some fresh berries but I also think it’s great for on the go with a splash of milk.
If I go back in time to before 2016 you’d never have caught me eating granola or anything too healthy to be fair. I was a nightmare, I had THE worst diet you could imagine and I’d barely stepped foot in a gym since P.E at school.
Obviously circumstances allowed a change of perspective and I’m a little more conscious when it comes to a healthier lifestyle and remaining active. That in turn has led to me stopping and thinking about my diet more and making better decisions when it comes to what I eat and what my family eat as well.
I think that may be why I was drawn to the UpFull campaign and had to get involved. It’s also fallen just before I decided to take the big step to enter the London Marathon ballot so of course it’s superb timing in terms of diet, training and making better body decisions.
Make your mix is their key innovation for 2018. While it’s great that there are so many granola options out there. UpFull have had the idea to create a pick ‘n’ mix style granola. Launching in the Autumn Make Your Mix will be a website where you can easily build your own box of granola or muesli.
The idea allows you to choose your seed mix, flavouring, 2 nuts, 2 fruits, adding any sweeteners and plenty of other options including protein etc. which means that you can create a unique granola recipe just for you.
They have a crowd funder for the new project which starts shortly that they would love you to get involved in. Especially if you are as interested in your health and well being as I am. I’ll tweet the link when available.
